Nina Silvert

'takes to being onstage as though genetically predisposed. Her performances have a high-fashion-meets-abattoir slant. Brutal and kooky, initially they shock, but once her audience has time to process the edgy ideas, they'll be educated, hopefully motivated and then left somewhat changed. She's unpredictable, neurotic and unhinged, but in a good way. Nina tranforms her persona and physicality accordingly. Her musical styles and influences promiscuously fuck with countless ages, from post-apocalyptic-punk to electro-classical hoe-down, and tribal-circus-big band. In her, you'll see a whole range of hybrid sideshow freaks. Some of this is whimsical, most of this is injected to wake you up and let you know your sense of propriety and morality has just been really fucked with. Perversion is her norm. In a post-modern-trash-dressed-to-kill-whilst-dying-with-laughter-at-herself-and-all-things-cool kind of way
she's perfectly dysfunctional, and oddly makes complete sense.'
